스튜디오이온은 여아 애니메이션 최대 히트작인 영실업의 ‘콩순이’ 총괄 기획 및 제작에 이어, 최근 SBS와 넷플릭스, 왓챠 등 다양한 매체에서 방영하고 있는 ‘아머드 사우루스’를 기획 및 제작한 프로덕션이다. ‘아머드 사우르스’는 넷플릭스 키즈 부문 국내 1위를 기록하는 등 시장에서의 좋은 성과를 이어가고 있다. 또한 올해에는 글로벌 게임엔진 개발사인 에픽게임즈에서 수여하는 에픽 메가그랜트를 수상하기도 했다.

SEOUL--(Newswire)--Studio EON, a leader in virtual production, announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for joint content production with Red Peter Film Company, known for producing hit films such as "Train to Busan" and "Peninsula."

The MOU aims to combine Studio EON's expertise in virtual production and VFX (visual effects) technology with Red Peter's extensive film production capabilities to create synergistic effects for both companies. The partnership plans to co-produce various content, including films and dramas, fostering a sustainable collaborative relationship.

Studio EON is the production company behind the major hit girls' animation "Kongsuni," produced for Young Toys. More recently, they planned and produced "Armored Saurus," which is airing on various platforms such as SBS, Netflix, and Watcha. "Armored Saurus" has achieved notable success, ranking number one in the Netflix Kids category in South Korea. Additionally, Studio EON was awarded the Epic MegaGrant from Epic Games, a global game engine developer, this year.

Red Peter Film Company debuted with the blockbuster "Train to Busan" (2016), which attracted 10 million viewers. They followed this with director Yeon Sang-ho's next film "Psychokinesis" and again made box office history with "Peninsula" in 2020, despite the global pandemic. "Peninsula" topped the box office in countries like Taiwan, Vietnam, Singapore, and Canada, sparking a K-zombie syndrome. Besides commercial films, Red Peter has produced meaningful films like "Birthday," starring Jeon Do-yeon and Sol Kyung-gu, and "Another Child," directed by actor Kim Yoon-seok. In 2021, they also produced the webtoon "Peninsula Prequel 631," launching it simultaneously in Korea and Japan, showcasing their versatility across various genres and formats.
